Dog Grooming
Crocodile Dundee's is owned and run by Paul Hogan. Paul has been grooming for the past 12 years and has a wealth of knowledge of all breeds. In 2003, Paul won the scissoring class at the National Grooming Championships which were held in Dublin. Paul has attended seminars in both the UK and the USA. In September 2007, Paul was invited to give a talk in Cork on the pros and cons of Dog Grooming in modern Ireland. Paul runs a successful training school which he started in 2004 and has helped people from all over Ireland to start their own business in Dog Grooming and Kennelling. In January 2008, Paul started teaching night classes to Crescent Comprehensive, Limerick in Dog Grooming and Behaviour Problems. Paul attends as many seminars in Dog Grooming as possible as he feels it is important to keep up to date with all new techniques and products which come on the market. Paul is a member of the Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association.
Overview of Grooming
Every dog that comes to Crocodile Dundee's Grooming Parlour is treated with respect. Each dog is assessed personally by Paul to determine what is required. Basic Grooming involves thoroughly grooming out the dog, treating it for flees and ticks, anal glands cleaned, nails clipped and whatever style required.
Style is determined by 3 factors:
- Condition of the dog's coat.
- Breed.
- Owners requirement.
Paul believes that no dog should suffer for fashion and only humane grooming is carried out.
No sedated dogs are allowed on the premises. Paul specializes in handling difficult dogs with behavioural problems.
